@mighty_orbot instead of paying for a seedbox and/or private tracker, you pay for a centralized streaming library. either way, artists don’t get paid

@exchgr I’m not going to start picking and choosing who gets to own intellectual property and who doesn’t. Too many of my favorite musicians and authors depend on the money they make from licensing rights. Either everyone has the right to own how their art is distributed , including (regrettably) corporations, or nobody does.

@mighty_orbotI think it was about video streaming in the first place, the movies. Independent movies never even make it into Netflix and the likes' libraries and there are no poor indie directors who have to rely on this as on their sole source of stable income. As for audio streaming, I doubt many here even use that. I don't 🤷@exchgr
