       I'm tired of paying for other people's cars with my tax dollars. The same tax dollars they claim can't be spared for better public transit. The cost of maintaining highways and providing public parking is staggering.

       @art In Washington state, there was a tax on car licenses to help cover that, based on the value of your car. A grifter named Tim Eyman managed to get it removed.
