       @ariadne I wish inkscape would be good though…

       @lanodan @ariadne I still use it, but seriously, this could be reimplemented as a web app and shed 90% of its code and lag that way.Actually, there are even alternatives likehttps://github.com/SVG-Edit/svgedit

       @wakame @ariadne So far I either use inkscape or browsers devtools depending on what I need.Maybe I should do something in the style of SVG-Edit at some point but without heaps of NodeJS, SVG rendering of the browser being honestly good enough.

       @lanodan @ariadne Looks like node is mostly in there to run the webserver.On the other hand: jQuery... that could be removed :blobcatgiggle:

       @wakame @ariadne There's quite notably "@svgedit/svgcanvas"

       @lanodan Maybe I misunderstand you, but to me it seems like yes, they use node to build and destructure their project (hence the depencency), but I see no node-specific things in the code itself.

       @wakame Node here ends up used as a package manager with rollup as bundler, all of it being static from the point of view of the browser.And good luck to svg-edit for the maintenance of this all.
