       @StarCrashr @fcktheworld587 @ned there are multiple shady churches that practice this kind of thing, and tons more that cover up abuses by misusing laws on clergy-penitent privilege. if the Dems were capable of effective action they would be blaming Republicans for this every day and pushing to expose abuses.

       @smitten @ned @fcktheworld587 Known victims of clergy are in the millions, AFAIK, and that's just one of the 8 states where I've found the republican party pushing child "marriage." I'm just not bothering to dump all of that here because I know I'm preaching to the choir.

       @StarCrashr @ned @fcktheworld587 np. wasn't intending to correct you or accuse you of omitting anything. I always bring up clergy penitent cover ups because they will continue to be a problem even after child marriage is ended. I am mostly preaching to the choir tho.
