@SirBemrose While that may be true, this was a really bad excuse.Have done more physical labor today than I have in over a decade. I'm just glad I'm still standing.Back in the day, at the carpet store I worked at, I'd be able to carry rolls of pad up into the loft, about 30 stairs or so, without a problem.On the bright side, there will be new carpet! And a fucking battery backup for the sump-pump.Since 6:30AM it's been wet-vac & ripping out old carpet and soaked padding.Not having fun!

@darrenoneill @SirBemrose looks like you've hit the "sweet spot" of home ownership when all the appliances start to fail at once. I had this happen in my home as well. Furnace, hot water tank and fridge in a single week. Good luck.
