@freemo Same. Yea I became dissappointed in the direction eugene was talking Mastodon.Its weird seeing so many new people,.but Im all for it.I wasnt expecting myself to get swamped by AI. Not large language models though.Small Language Models.

@freemo its awful people got screwed, but its also oddly reassuring.Once I got more technical ( I am learning that every I learn to code, Im figuring out how much I dont know ) I was wanting to fork Mastodon.And make ita bit more like Diaspora, but having aspects that make Mastodon more current.

@trinsec @freemo Yea Glitch and Soapbox I'm really enjoying.I wanting to run one instance local only to test out chatbots first. That's mostly because I'm more used to static website generator.But I thought why not test the decentralized west world like concept at a small scale so I know it actually works.

@freemo @trinsec But I'd like a diaspora like mastodon that's easier to deploy bots, as my gut feeling feels like the singularity net approach is...well off.

@freemo @trinsec Ah ok misread, yea that Soapboax. Yea even though I'm a lefty, I figured out I'm missing a huge part o the story.Gleasonator is an odd ball, but he's not...terrible I guess.( My fear is having to much of a soapbox. )

@freemo @Amikke @trinsec My fear with Soapbox was they were letting in a certain part of politics, that was becoming way to ubiquitous at the time.( I am disillusioned by some aspects of the left, but I'm not that disillusioned. )

@freemo @trinsec @Amikke I might go into that on peertube, though it was a struggle to find one not ran by Eugene types.But the long story is I was kicked for transphobia, despite being trans myself.But also in the mean time found the privacy features of mastodon lacking compared to Diaspora.
