@mahaska hmmm, I did not find Barbados overly littered, compared to the US. The beaches were fairlt clean an had trash cans. Of course, there are always some idiots whose IQ is not high enough to enable them to pick up after them, but I found that to be an exception. Where did you see the trash?

@backpackandsnorkel Actually, I wonder what happens when it *does* make it in the trash can...So far, at least, that part of the world isn't trashed by nasty humans.

@mahaska there are recycling centers on the island and, of course, landfills. I believe they also incinerate trash.
