       Howdy Fedi, What are your thoughts on #PassKeys? I'm optimistic. On one hand, passwords suck. On the other, I'm concerned that Apple/Google/Micro$oft have so readily adopted it. I'm also put off but the Vendor centric behavior of PassKey sharing between devices.What are your thoughts?

       @Graycot On the one hand, I like the idea of moving to something beyond bespoke passwords for every service. If we can develop a more secure authentication approach, I'm for it. I also appreciate the implicit two factor nature for passkeys (something you have: the device with the key, something you know: the pin/pw/pattern.)On the other hand, I don't like the marrying of the two to a corporate device. Passkey may be cool if there are independent, FOSS options just as good as the corporate.
