@stux he'll be back, they have an uncanny knack of finding places to burrow until the worst is over. i have a cat sanctuary, that's how I know, having spent too many nights under the elements bawling and convibced they are dead. They return warm and dry as if nothing ever happened. Keep us posted and I'll send him some light/ Blessings from Ireland, Raining and thunder here too,.

@stux Our one cat was notorious for not coming in at night, so we'd have to go wander our 9 acres looking for him. One night we did that in an absolute downpour. We were drenched to the bone. Finally gave up, he shows up shortly after the rain stops, dry as can be. We're pretty sure he was in the neighbors barn...

@stux I kNEW it but am delighted to hear it. I sent him some light after you posted and received an image of him being very warn curled up in what looked like golden hay on some kind of a ledge or shelf, warm and snug!
