       @solar_chase there's a river crossing near me with a one lane bridge followed by several sharp turns. There must be a dozen signs saying "no big trucks! turn around!" yet every year someone manages to get themselves wedged. Physics comprehension seems to falter when the GPS machine says there's a shortcut

       @grumpy @solar_chase The problem is sometimes those signs are lies to prevent heavy traffic. (Not saying there shouldn’t be a way to prevent heavy traffic. But that’s why people have learned to not trust the signs.)
