       What do folks with clover lawns due when mowing? I have some growing clover patches I keep mowing over bees, do I chase them away first #gardening #bees

       @friendlymike Bees will move out of the way, but leave some clover flowers available if you can. Mow as first priority those clover patches that have the most "spent" flowers. I have clover patches that I rarely mow.

       @friendlymike what about a reel mower? slower and not high power, i’d guess the bees would have more time to get out of the way

       @friendlymike our lawn is pretty small, so we use a weedwhacker (hubs is having fun carving waves into the clover, it's that thick LOL) - I'd say wait until your clover is fertilized, then it will self seed. Bees around our place usually head to bed when it cools down, so mowing around their schedule might help, too.

       @friendlymike I don't really mow the area of my lawn that is clover, maybe once a summer. I don't mind my lawn looking a little overgrown though, just my preference
