       i seriously cannot understand why so many people are "excited" for when threads "joins" the fediverseare you absolutely out of your mind? has your brain rotted so much from corporate and commercial social media, that you cannot go without? do you need your influencer parasocial interactions that bad? do you not understand the societal position and good of third places? hello???im genuinely, GENUINELY unnerved, frustrated, and angry with these people

       @ShadowJonathan I have seen lots of people joining fedi for at least a year, coming with the usual consumer mindset they brought from the usual social media, and they didn't seem to change. I consider them a lost cause, as they won't be able to appreciate the Fediverse for what truly is. Threads is a place for those people.
