@Jim They made an anime.that was successful for cyberpunk to the point Reddit level retards gasslit themselves into believing that the game is "acshully good now bros fr fr" and getting them money and praise. So now western comics and the capeshit crew see that as the best way forward. @Eiswald @Jim Basically, Marvel has for decades had these short-lived manga and anime projects to keep the brand alive in JP.The live action Spiderman is probably most recognizable due to how absurd it was.Don't forget DC dipped their toes into it recently with Batman Ninja, which was also an isekai, and was very well received.
