       Prediction: Facebook is never going to turn on federation. Why would they? They've got tons of logins, they've got the annoying, airheaded brands and influencers - what do they need us for?This is actually the best outcome. Like I said before, let them have all the annoying loudmouths. We'll keep building our own better community here.

       @thomholwerda The reason they aren't federated right now is because they rushed to launch. They wanted to capitalize on Elon's Twitter fuckups and do it before #bluesky launched. Federation isn't the only feature missing. The dude in charge is dead-set on getting #threads connected.
