       @mikemadrid Democrats have failed Latinos, and there may be some of that in the twist, but in fact, the focus on family, economic success, religion is very appealing for many Latinos. Oh, the flag too, since it was appropriated by Repubs, some Latinos want to be part of that crowd who seem to love the USA and the flag so much, because they love it too. Symbols are powerful. Count racism too, they want to join the whites, not the others.

       @GatekeepKen @mikemadrid Republicans do not like Latinos generally, but they need them. In Florida, on the other hand, they love each other. Besides, many Latinos identify themselves with the Republican party, even when it goes against their own interest for the reasons stated above, among others. I didn't say I agree with that, neither that I like it, but it happens in part due to broken promises by the Democratic governments.
