Welp--back on here because today #QOTO lost the entirety of its mind. First checked in, couldn't, got the error message that the problem was at their end and they're working on it.Tried again, got in, and got a solid string of error 504 Gateway Timeout messages. Then for a while it behaved itself, so I left the keyboard to check on the caterpillar livestock and came back to strings upon strings of rate limit errors and I didn't do a damn thing. Then I got a couple Notifications, checked those out without getting blocked from 'em, then went back to the Federated feed. Got another string of rate limit errors but proceeded to read the feed with no hangups...except one. When I went from Notifications to Federated, it took nearly forever to load.Go home QOTO, you're drunk.

@ClaraListensprechen You should tag @freemo when you have these issues.

@shibaprasad @ClaraListensprechen Indeed. This sounds like you use fedilab or one of the clients that has a bug that that cuases rate limit errors. I looked into it once before and had nothing to do with qoto. That said i cant say if that is the case here but rate limit errors are usually client side issues, i coukd have investigated.

@freemo @shibaprasad Never even heard of fedilab. I connect via my desktop via my ISP, using Firefox browser and that's all there is.

@ClaraListensprechen @shibaprasad Is it possible you had multiple tabs open or multiple clients on multiple devices?

Again--I connect via my desktop via my ISP using Firefox browser and that's sum-total IT. I use only one window; other windows are elsewhere on the Internet, and I never use tabs. One desktop, one window for QOTO.

@claralistensprechen3rd @shibaprasad @ClaraListensprechen Ok thats a bit strange. You are the first person to experience this then as far as I know, and the only one who had a problem at the time. Is it resolved now or has it been an ongoing issue? I can investigate if you have a time and date it occurred. In the future let me know when it happens at it is easier for me to investigate if it is actively happening.

@freemo @claralistensprechen3rd @ClaraListensprechen I have this weird problem of QOTO not opening from the personal PC. But it opens from the Tor browser or from Mobile through the same WIFI. Think it started happening after I updated my Windows.

@shibaprasad So sounds like your ISP is blocking QOTO maybe? does the domain name resolve.@claralistensprechen3rd @ClaraListensprechen

@freemo @shibaprasad @claralistensprechen3rd It's not my ISP. This stuff didn't happen until recently, and I'm happy to report that no errors popped up today, so def not at my end.Notification count is working now, too, when before it didn't. The only quirky thing happening now is that the feed will sometimes self-scroll, unbidden...and in Settings I have refresh turned off, so it's not a refresh thing unless that setting doesn't matter.I can make it quit doing that by clicking on a post then hit the Back link, sometimes repeatedly, sometimes only once. Anyway, no error problems today!

@freemo @shibaprasad @claralistensprechen3rd Definitely will do that. I'd like to add that I've never seen those errors before so I know they're not browser generated, and the browser would generate an error with an ISP problem.👍

@ClaraListensprechen No the errors themselves are displayed via the web client. but it may be the browser that causes it somehow (for example sending multiple requests real fast).@shibaprasad @claralistensprechen3rd

@freemo @shibaprasad @claralistensprechen3rd I can't imagine; that's nothing I'm familiar with. Some several steps between my ISP and your server I guess; I just know it's not here.
