@grillchen wow now that is a take.... "Head of Personal Finance" I wonder if Ben considered the fact that housing tends to be one of the most safe ways to generate steady revenue. There is a reason banks sells fonds with lots of housing space in them as a very safe (not risk free but safe) way to make some return on investment. I do agree that owning only one property is pretty risky especially if tie up your own personal finance with in that with a loan. Thats why every good investment spreads risk over multiple assets like having multiple flats etc. Or get yourself one in a high-demand area with students or smth. You never have a problem of not finding a tenant. Did I just write a way to serious post in response to a shitpost? Hell Yeah I did. Deal with it! :agummysunglasses:

@duponin it might. so many factors.... tbh the biggest difference imo is having the freedom to change and make the most of a home. and really care about it. otherwise other investments, or even buying and renting out can be more interesting.

@grillchen Ever notice that the people who say "you will own nothing, and you will be happy" are motherfuckers that own a bunch of shit, and have no plans to divest?
