Ugh I think I would buy a Mac laptop immediately if the air had just slightly better specs. By the time I get the specs I want for an air 13 or 15, financially it would be better to spend a little more and get a Macbook Pro. But I want a very light small laptop. Maybe the m3 Macbook Air will fill that void. Or maybe I'm thinking too hard about this 😂

@PhilGastwirth I got the 15" and I have zero complaints.Honestly since the switch to Apple Silicon I'm not seeing any reason to go pro.

@PhilGastwirth 16 GB Ram, 1TB SSD.I do a little exiting but not a ton. Haven't had any issues. But if that's your use case before you write off the air I would seek out some reviews from people who do more photo editing. Because the apple silicon has been fantastic.One of the places I routinely killed my computer in the past is actually excel. (Dealing with LARGE files with V lookups, lots of calculations, and occasionally random numbers). Haven't had those issues since the switch

@Nitro230 I've tried looking and they start out promising and then end up saying how it's their travel laptop and not their main machine and I'm like, no I want to see you use this as your main, not your on location/travel machine

@PhilGastwirth I think the reason the Air isn't the main machine is lack of ports / can only do 1 external monitor without DisplayLink drivers

@matt just when I spec the 24gb ram and 1tb ssd, the price just gets closer to pro territory and I'm not sure if the price is competitive for the price. I'm thinking slightly better m3 would warrant the same price point. (but I could be very wrong)
