       @Moon We used Erwin (proprietary) in school and it is cloned pretty much 1:1 in MySQL Workbench. It might not quite qualify as non-crap but if you like the boomer aesthetics it might work for you.I'm lazy and just compose the SQL in all my projects by hand (none of my databases are large enough to justify the overhead).

       @Moon also I'm not sharing my database with any other coders on my projects so that also contributes to not needing a GUI tool. Sharing it quickly with others is probably the best reason to have a nice ER diagram
