       It's funny how we were told Twitter didn't REALLY matter, that the number of people on it was relatively small, it never really affected change ... yet there are SO many tech bros trying to create a replacement for it (and [at least ]one actively working to destroy it). So I guess it was a big deal after all.

       @la_panique Twitter is/was a really big deal. I resented how news outlets treated it like a source of truth though. But I really do want it to die now.

       @rich Yeah, agreed on all points here!  Definitely posting tweets instead of doing journalism is a stupid idea (and also puts Tweeters in the line of fire, with zero notification usually ASK ME HOW I KNOW).
