Remember that competition and fights for market share are capitalism working just as intended. I understand that watching twitter, threads or bluesky burn each other down is entertaining but there is nothing to win here as the ones burning in the fire are always us, the users.Enjoy the spectacle but let's keep focussed on the alternatives too, ok? ✨

@malteengeler Indeed, it’s hilarious to watch these three billionaire buffoons in their power struggle. Users only get burned when they get too close to the fire - so don‘t use Twitter, BlueSky or Threads! (Of course, the situation is somehow different for the employees of the involved companies…)

@malteengeler I hope that you stay active on Mastodon. My fear is currently, that once some enterprise has established itself as „the new twitter“, most of the interesting people will migrate to this service. And then I am left here at Mastodon with nearly 100% Linux/Nerd stuff. Which is interesting. But I enjoy my colorful and diverse feed mich more, as it is currently.
