I swear to god Game Maker's Toolkit had a video about Driver San Francisco and how it was the first game to have a second person perspective. I'm playing GTA4 and The Lost and Damned dlc has a mission where you can watch yourself drive away your bike from a cop's perspective. Maybe I forgot whose video it was :sad_cat:

@yarra whatif we're going by that, there was a cop perspective camera as early as gta vice city, you just had to use the cinematic car camera while being chased by police and it'd occasionally switch to itand if we're going really technical, in gta 3 there's the mission kingdom come that when introducing the spank suicide bombers has one of them run at you with a camera view similar to the player's ownand if you REALLY wanna stretch it: any first person shooter with multiplayer that allowed you to record a demo counts as having a second person perspective if you're playing with a friend and he records a demo as you play so you can see yourself running around through his eyes, there's absolutely second person perspectives way before driver san francisco
