@alex @trogdor i don't see how they can do this in a way that is profitable for them while they still maintain tight control over moderation. it's going to have to be a whitelist for federating with only the major mastodon instances that have the strictest censorship policies. my guess is you'll have to apply to federate with them and jump through a bunch of hoops. if they allow federation with everyone by default, they'll end up with a bunch of new instances popping up constantly calling facebook users n-words
