@stux I'm sad that people aren't even willing to give it a chance. Blocking the instance won't stop Meta from collecting data in other ways but it will stop me from being able to stay in touch with friends, family and colleagues.

@stux I only became aware of this poll a couple of minutes ago, I'm sure many others haven't seen it. Did you consider announcing it via "Announcements"? I always see when you post them. I figure for something this important everyone should have a chance to vote, and be aware of it.

@stux Thank you, Stux, for keeping us updated. If you do decide to block will you give us ample notice to move to another instance? I’m against preemptively blocking, just my opinion.

@stux Sadly I'm too late and not registered on the mstdn.social instance, but a hard block would have been my vote. Meta as a company has given us plenty of evidence as to what they think about doing things any way other than theirs. Connecting on the expectation that they will have some kind of communal epiphany is, in my opinion, naive at best and analogous to the folks that are still over on Twitter hoping that things will change.

@stux 8.2k profiles out of 32k active profiles have participated i.e. 25%. So around 17-18% are for blocking now. I'd say this doesn't tell you anything, as 75% did not see this poll or did not bother to engage.
