       @Coria Many years ago I had some friends in a commune near Nenthead.We went into Hexham on the Tuesday bus.Loved Hexham Abbey.Always had a thing about old buildings and churches.https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hexham_Abbey

       @stannard loads of history in the town and that Abbey. The crypt goes back ~1400 years(?). Nenthead is beautifully bleak and the original back of beyond!

       @Coria It certainly was then.Back around 1970.We had been doing festivals and went our separate ways.Then met up again up there, I hitch-hiked,  Think I must have walked from Scotch Corner !
