@todayilearned Both of the words vegetable and fruit are considered culinary terms. The part of any type of plant that has its seeds is the fruit of that plant. Tomatoes are definitely fruits of the tomato plant, just as acorns ate fruits of oak trees, and rose hips are the fruits of a rose bush.
