Anole #lizard on one of our front #garden #sunflowers yesterday evening, on the hunt for bugs to eat (and welcome to them). Last summer we had a resident anole that could be found day & night on the #sunflower plants we had growing then. This year no one has claimed exclusive residence, just see different ones passing through. #ThickTrunkTuesday #photography #gardening #NaturePhotography #MacroPhotography #wildlife

@Trilobyter Our yard N. of Houston is crawling with them and skinks (I think) too. They are my little buddies, but hard to to distinguish them apart. :)

@Huntn00 we’re also N of Houston (just S of the Woodlands) and yes the anoles are everywhere, happy to have them. Only seen a couple of skinks in the time we’ve been at this house, the type with a bluish tail, which along with their stripes distinguishes those from the anoles.

@Trilobyter Four lined skinks as my trusty ref cites. 😊For several years we had Mediterranean House Geckos appearing around the entrance light but have not seen them in a while. 🙁https://thepetenthusiast.com/lizards-in-houston/
