       We're really in a period of discernment for antifascists, I think.So much of our work 2016-2021 was an effort to keep extreme fascism from crossing the line into the mainstream.But from MTG to Moms for Liberty, it's happened. And it's all being whitewashed by white women.

       M4L is the best and scariest example right now.They are using the special privileges they get for having successfully reproduced whiteness, and leveraging them in service of extreme fascist goals.People ignore that they're a hate group because, "moms."

       It makes it that much harder to combat them, because white patriarchy teaches us that white mothers are valuable assets that must be protected.And sexism means they're less likely to get taken seriously. People incorrectly minimize the violent threat they pose.

       @fcktheworld587 @gwensnyder Have you read White Tears / Brown Scars by Ruby Hamad? It's a survey of just this kind of behaviour through history and it was an eyeopening read for me. I hadn't really realised how complicit white women had been in oppressing those worse off than ourselves, as we maintained our position or pushed ourselves slightly higher, but at their expense.Book Review post: http://litflits.blogspot.com/2020/11/white-tears-brown-scars-how-white.html
