       @p @erik low res 4by3 screens are still some of the best for code, no hidpi nonsense required to blot pixel perfect bit map fonts

       @erik my setup was near identical back in ca. 2007, after I got one of the first Netbooks, from Asus the eee PC w/ the 7" screen 😄...I was a broke student working for the university & 'borrowed' one of their old ext. monitors 😄and yes, it was running linux (mandrake/mandriva, I believe).

       @i @erik Yeah, I actually have a 4:3 on the left.It's some 1600x1200 Dell thing, apparently has composite video and can do picture-in-picture with the composite input, which is fun but I cannot imagine when I would use that.  I replaced the 5:4 HP (1280x1024) with this one because it is nice to have enough vertical resolution to not have to scale down PDFs.  (There are now I think if I ended up on a hidpi display where 9x15 is not plausible, I might just upscale the 6x13 font.
