       @Dan_Hulson i'm just trying to raise eggs, they an go elsewhere like they always did, which is why i'm making it more effort than it's worht, sides the chickens will be in the shed at night which should be all but inpenetrable to any predators that would be out at night.

       @Dan_Hulson @Zealist Pardon my ignorance, but enclosing the whole thing in mesh (like a huge bird cage) should stop any digging while allowing the chickens to eat grass and insects from the ground.Just an idea I came out with, it may be a "solution" known to fail, but at first glance it makes sense.

       @Carcharoth @Zealist what I did, in the end, was drop heavy mesh about 12 inch into a small dugout to sink the mesh then covered it to make it far harder to dig under
