Relative Humidity. You used to use a thermometer with two bulbs and a string to check RH. One of the bulbs would have a sock on the end you would soak in water. Then you would spin the thing for a minute. By comparing the temperature differentials on the two bulbs against a chart you could find out what the relative amount of humidity in the air was.Now everyone just uses a Kestrel.

Your body just gets used to it lol.
