Feels good that I finally managed to give away that SAN and those disks. (44TB spinning drives, 5 TB SSDs).They will serve a package mirror here in southern Sweden for the coming years :)Donating hardware to benefit the community is a great way to help out!

I realize that it is much better for the hardware to be used for the wider good, than collecting dust in my garage.

@selea assuming we're talking about open source packages, this is a great way to give back to the open source community. People always assume contributing to open source just means contributing code but there are so many other great ways to contribute! It's great to see people talk about and promote alternative ways to support open source.Thank you for your contributions! :)

@oscar Yes, it is a package mirror for various linux-distros - like what I was running for many many years under mirror.linux.pizza.Donating hardware seems to be a forgotten way of donating to projects, since computing is more abstract nowadays because of many just associate computing with "the cloud"
