Ok... If you're visiting New Orleans and have one day to be a "tourist"... What do you choose to do?

@Pinballgypsy I always start by visiting the Verti Marte and get a sandwich (grilled shrimp poboy or muffaletta) and a bottle of water and have a nice meal on Jackson Square.

@Pinballgypsy two words Frenchman Street the best music in one location. Bars have a 1 drink minimum usually no cover. Stay somewhere with a pool. The Frenchman hotel is nice. A go visit Bad Ass Uncle Sam right by the French market.

@Pinballgypsy Pack an extra magazine. Street car up St. Charles, rent roller blades in Audubon park and have lunch at Camilla Grill (or similar).

@Pinballgypsy Jackson Square, hit up Café du Monde for beignets (but bring cash for the one by Jackson Square); or, for a more relaxing time, check out City Park; you can still get beignets at Morning Call there.Drago's does grilled oysters. Even if you're not an oyster person, you may like them; my wife ended up really liking them. I thought they were OK, but not good enough for me to not get the steak I wanted... :)(And be ready to sweat; the humidity is killer. Hydrate early and often!)

@Pinballgypsy @obihahn @radix023 @GasBag @DewsNews @Sophistifunk @schwierking @SirEricHalbritter @danieljsummers @bucksnort @MaleticResearch @Johnmccabe They have 2 pinball machines at Mic's Irish Pub and I think at least 2 at Pal's Lounge. They are both in Mid City and are about 2 miles from each other.

@LONEWOOF I went to Pal's last time, the Sopranos table worked... barely. I found out there's a new joint called the Emporium, which I'm excited to check out!

@Pinballgypsy Well skip Mic's if you are looking for pinball, they took the machines out a few days ago for repair. It's still by far one of the cheapest places to drink along with Parkview Tavern. Shamrock might still have some machine but it's been a while since I've been there. Other than that you can go to The Sea Cove in the lower 9th ward on St Claude, it's full of arcade machines but I don't think there are many pinball units. Keeps you eyes open, this is a troubled city.
