@Tionisla @muznyo I also considered switching to a BSD system but I want my Flatpak containerization with the permission system plus Portmaster so that held me back from leaving Linux 😂 Btw what's the reason you switch away from Linux?

@fosserytech @muznyo Learning something new (or rather back to roots) I started with Slackware Linux in the 90ies and I felt right at home on BSD, when I did a test install.And tho I'm very content with my current Arch setup as an OS, I'm not so excited with a lot of recent developments in the Linux world by big players moving it more and more away of it's roots.... Actually I'm not interested in hypes like containerization, linux-only solutions like systemd, immutables.

@Tionisla @muznyo yeah unfortunately Linux will become corporate thing in the next 10-20 years. I'm not a big fan of that either.For systemd, I have mixed feelings about that. I don't like that Red Hat is involved but at the same time I didn't have much luck with Systemd-free distros (except for PostmarketOS on my phone). Seems like Systemd distros just work better on my laptop.

@fosserytech Debian is not a distro you can casually throw into a conversation to show off. Too easy to install and set up. I use Artix, btw.
