@Mummabear I've been aware since the 80's. It's the main reason i don't drink diet coke. Do you think that's stopped my wife from having a few diet cokes every day since i met her once she was hooked? It's a strange thing what vices humans knowingly take on and accept, all of us i guess, bullet-proof: the one who'll dodge statistics again and magically escape unscathed. 33 years later (is that karmic donation reminder?) and she still walks on water (ahem, at least diet coke).

@Mummabear I don't think asding sweetener of any kind is good for you and it is likely to all be carcinogenic. It only makes sense to me that excess glucose leads to inflammation which leads to increased risk of activating cancerous cells into replication. Frankly, different sweeteners are just different brands for the same chemical compound that all carry the same risk IMO.

@Mummabear I've never liked any sugar-cane replacement nor any product claiming to be sugar free/diet/etc. It always is the same story.To me sugar-free is sugar, sweetness free. Raw taste. No sweetener no vanilla flavor, nada. Raw taste but I guess that's too hard to accomplish.
