Fuuuuck, I just experienced the first power outage in my life. For one second electricity turned completely off. I have never had this happen, electricity has always been the most reliable public utility to me, literally the only times without power were when the breakers inside my home tripped due to my own fault like spilling tea from my desk into an outlet. Fuck, I hope this isn't something that happens regularly here. I never bought an UPS because it costs money and I had never seen a power outage in my life, I thought this only happens in developing countries.

@InsignificantThoughts To be fair, I am more of a normie in tech stuff, but I have had several issues with power and haven't had too many issues, nothing scary at least, just annoying.

@InsignificantThoughts I just brought the cheapest 500w UPS. Only cost about 80 euros.

@Hanuwu I was looking at used eaton/apc rackmount units on an auction site, most of them went for slightly more than my highest bid or were too far away for me to pick up. Is an 80 euro unit really reliable?

@InsignificantThoughts haven't broken so far, it's APC BK650M2-CH. The capacity is shit but enough for sudden power loss.
