@pony@blovice.bahnhof.cz Every seat is either torn or dirty, the windows are jammed, brakes make you deaf for the next minute on every stop and the train is always full anyway because ČD will never use more than 3 Bts for a single trainAt least you could faintly hear the 242 if you were in the first car

@instereo256 thing is that the Bp's were maybe not completely miserable for what they were, in the last few years the heat insulation around the windows has basically completely failed and it never was possible to keep temperature above like 16 degrees when it got cold outside, and they still kept them there

@instereo256 well i think the capacity thing is silly, it's not really new trains, so the only thing they are saving on is maybe the poor 754 trying to pull the shit up to Rapotice, which can normatively only manage like 6 carriages actually, but that's not an excuse to have just 4

@pony@blovice.bahnhof.cz Rožmberk was regularly 5 cars long (i think it's more now, like 7), also at least route 190 is electrified and not awfully sloped. Maybe DKV Plzeň was short on cars because ČD wasn't buying anything new for any route not going from Prague until 2012

@instereo256 i believe the plan is still to split it in Budweis so you can imagine a contract for Plzen - Budejovice with some 160 Vmax regional-ish emu's (and preferably hourly) when they finally upgrade the signaling and stuff
