@mntmn @crypt17 I guess I was thinking a MNT board in the framwork chassis so the peripherals work they've done could be leaveraged with a more open mainboard. I don't know though. It's half a thought while I'm eating a yoghurt.

@lina @Baggypants @crypt17 framework is a venture capital funded company in a cutthroat market. there is no guarantee that they will be around in a few years, and they will take their IP with them to the grave (most probably). if MNT should go out of business it doesn't matter: all the sources, including the case, are already public.

@lina @Baggypants @crypt17 MNT Reform has already been reproduced independently (by @jacqueline) so it is proven that the platform could survive even if our company or i would be gone. which none of the closed systems can do (except for retro computers that have been cloned, like the C64).
