@Houl It's best to just let people like that do what they want. The problem solves itself.

@Houl "Open-Source is bad because bad people can tamper with the product!" was something I used to see a lot - and as a poorly informed person over 10 years ago I would agree with. Until I realized that there are so many eyes on Open-Source products and the standards to contribute to those usually are high enough that tampering with them will never go undetected, or at least not for long. And then we learn about things "closed-source" products do... c:

@Houl Ubuntu seems to be going that way. In mobile Linux, UbuntuTouch really is that way. And while technically open source, SXMO and SWMO are developed by what is effectively a cult you'd have to join to so much as give feedback let alone contribute (seriously, look up "suckless" it is a cult based on a tech bro interpretation of stoicism). But if your heart is set on Linux-Like and closed source, there's always MacOS. I'm sure you can find a tutorial on how to build a hackintosh so you don't get stuck with their goofy overpriced hardware.Oh, turns out Oracle Solaris is still around. How do you feel about Java? :blobcat_thisisfine:
