@femboyslove as im sure you're aware now, its not just that soapbox is distrusted by people, it's also that the devs are very horrible people- at the same time, though, im sure after a migration not everyone would want to rejoin, and it's possible you could manage to keep using soapbox and just continue to denounce it, maybe the larger fediverse community would be able to accept it. its a tricky situation, wishing you luck

Yes, I am well aware that soapbox is problematic and I really should not have used it.A migration could possibly stop femboys.love altogether and shut it down.We do not support soapbox and their creators.

@meso @femboyslove they said they were using pleroma as the backend at some point so it might not be rebased?? don't know, but they've gotten an insane number of users and i heard that a few people in the discord have been discussing all of this, i think if they could easily switch they would've figured it out by now so i guess it must be rebased (and id not trust a first time instance admin to do a db migration on day like 2)

I don't believe everyone else must follow it. i believe people have the right to fediblock anyone for any reason. it's as simple as "i dont want to interact with this content". in cases like these, where someone might fediblock a server because the ui they chose to use was a red flag for whatever reason or something, and they didn't want to risk interacting with them in case the instance was bigoted, it can be frustrating if it's just a misunderstanding. but misunderstandings are a part of life. it doesn't make fediblocking any less valid. it's consent, anyone can and should be able to revoke the ability for an instance to interact with them

@nukie @femboyslove i used to get upset about that too, i do get it. i had some edgier friends that i used to interact with, although i didnt myself ever say anything i feel is wrong i think by being in some circles people assumed i myself would be the type to make edgier jokes too, so a few fediblocks happened pretty quick. but i cannot blame it. if something makes me uncomfortable and i have the option to avoid ever seeing it im gonna take that option. and for some people they're willing to block quickly just to be cautious. everyone's got different boundaries and it's just not something i can judge them for. it's just not my business and there's always other people to talk to
