@Clover I'm either a great or terrible person to ask because I don't make a distinction between friend and partner, but that's just how I like things. Most people do make such a distinction.Very generally speaking, the relationship is what you make it. If you like someone enough to want to have that kind of relationship with them, whatever you're looking for, I say you should just ask them outright. After that, it's all about communication. Figure out what you both want from each other and do what you can to deliver, bearing in mind that you might not be able to do everything, and that's okay.Hopefully that helped. Lemme know if you have any other questions for me.

@Paradox@raru.re If you like someone enough to want to have that kind of relationship with themI think I have an issue with this too, mostly that I don't know when that might be an appropriate thing to feel or bring up, or if they're interested in something like that too

@Clover Yeah that's a gamble you take. Some people are good at telling based on body language and subtle cues.Let me ask this. How would you describe your interest in the person you like the most? Even if there are multiple people, pick one, or summarize.

@Paradox@raru.re hmm, there's someone who I think is nice, they are caring and I enjoy talking to them a lot and I feel like they listen to me and understand when I talk about feelings

@Clover Then I'd say you're good to confess to them, if you know each other that well and can say you like them that much.

@Clover hi :hi_cirno: are you neurotypical? because advice for neurodivergent people would vary a bit. it's a complex topic though and I don't think a 'tutorial' works either way. it's something you gotta experience and through experience you get better at it :LappPat: if you wanna date someone, it's primarily about how they feel about you. in your company, while chatting, they must feel comfy. you must show genuine interest in them and learn about them. you must also disclose things about you. they can be negative as well, but they must be genuine. many people only try to hide negative things from their prospective partner which leads to conflict later on.if you are dating a person with a male brain, do something with them. sharing experiences is in focus. if you are dating a female-brained person, it's more about sharing thoughts and feelings.
