ok this might be an odd question, but what sort of font do yall think would be good for a lecture slide deck?like i dont want to use default arial but im leaning sans serif-y font?

@pry do you know how large the screen itâll be shown on/how far away the readers may be? That may inform the font weight. Barlow/Barlow Condensed are nice standby. Julius Sans One or Marcellus have elegant accents but are very readable. Nanum Gothic has plenty of weights if you need text to be bold.

@pry If the reader will have nice visibility then itâs worth at least looking at some serif fonts, they can be comparatively very easy on the eyes when reading a real chonk of text at once and they donât lack for variation.

@neauoire yea, it looks super nice!this is entirely separate, but ive been looking at a lot of old marketing pamphlets for old mainframe systems like for CDC, SDS, and IBM machines and i just love the bauhaus aesthetic used for the titles

@pry I've been using it on my text-editor for a while now. It pairs well with code writing and feels comfy with dark themes. But I wouldn't use it for anything outside of this, as some people might find it unprofessional.I still ended up using it for a few titles in some PowerPoints I made for school.

@pry Meh, I guess it's a matter of taste tbh. I used FiraCode for a while, but I dunno, Monocraft just makes coding more entertaining. It might just be a placebo effect tricking my brain into thinking that work is actually an old school videogame but who knows. I just can't use "regular" fonts now.
