       I'm pretty pleased with how my DIY air purifier is working against the smoke from the Great North. Photos of the appliance, outside air readings, inside air (before running), and inside air after running for 3 hours.

       @Derdnik that’s the brain I use all the time 🤣 “how does this compare to other stuff I willingly and happily do?” ((You could save some coin by using the 1” Zpleat filters, I remember those 4” being $70 for 2 back in 2008))

       @Derdnik iirc they’ve got the same 30day “life expectancy” - obviously being larger there’s more particulates removed = better than 1”- only my “new generation” of installers were putting them in on all the new builds - the old guys were still super impressed with the difference between pleats and those bullshit polyester see through ones 🤣

       @Derdnik Good idea!Multiple filters seem like overkill. Thinking that taping one 20”x20” filter to the back of a 20” box fan would produce similar results.
