Welp, yet another Australian building mob is going under. This is totally fine though and importing even more people will surely not cause any problems, people don't need places to live after all.news.com.au/finance/business/other-industries/perth-building-company-flexible-homes-collapses-into-liquidation/news-story/9c3727406029479813918a65b9a88159

@Crux_Invictus speaking with some family who are working with people in the timber milling industry. Apparently mills in Victoria have been ordered to shutdown. So any builders hoping their material price issues would go away are in for a big problem.https://www.timberbiz.com.au/vic-govt-to-shut-down-timber-industry-early/The theory is this was announced after Andrew's visit to china, with the idea being that china will be the main source of timber.

@Parmolive Either that or it's part of an attempt to keep the price of timber high so someone can slowly sell their stockpile.Probably both with a bit of the green agenda thrown in for good measure.

@Crux_Invictus it's a complex situation but I don't know if anyone has timber stockpiles to release like that. The price has been steadily increasing ahead of inflation for a while. This reads more like a "protect me" deal from labour ministers.
