@Cbrooklyn112 hard to sum up. But there’s an attitude of elitism that’s becoming very prevalent. Definitely not as tight knit as it was during the pandemic.

@Maiko_1820 ehhhhh. Maybe the quality of memes….but the people whose birthdays I know around here I had to learn from their shows or from people closer to them. But maybe Facebook is a lot different than it was when I left? Things were very preachy and impersonal there from what I remember.

@makeheroism I got kicked off in 2020, they ask for ID when reactivating so I haven't been back on since..joined twitter and left 2 weeks ago. NAS is the only one left lol never been on Reddit, but I hear it's a dark place. Hopefully it gets betta tho. I like the peeps on here more than the other social networks.

@Maiko_1820 for sure. This is way more my scene so I really hope this just a lull. Cause overall it’s a great network. What made you leave twitter? And if all else fails on NAS…there’s always spook.social. So thank god for that. Otherwise I’d have to look at all the weird fedi shit on some lame instance.

@makeheroism twitter is more like Instagram now. I've been on there since 2020 and made some genuine friendships, but realized how fake it is. I've been through a lot these past 3 years with pregnancy/life and not one of those friendships was genuine or real, just meaningless regurgitation. Some days that is all Nas seems like, but my intuition tells me there's a reason to be here so I am lol

@Maiko_1820 @makeheroism i had the same kind of experience with faceborg... i thought i had developed some real friends there, we even talked on the phone, some of them bought orgone from me, we'd talk on messenger daily, etc.....then i quit facebook.. and out of those 1600 people, heard from 3 of them, one of which was a literal spook, (and i didnt know it at the time,) so that was his JOB, and the other two, one is a witch, (i didnt know it at the time,) and the other one ? I've known since 2005 in real life first.i did try contacting about 50 or so of the ones i enjoyed talking with the most, and not more than 4 replied, total, including the above 3.but hey yeah its facebook.. they're all under some kind of mind control over there..

@Maiko_1820 yeah that makes sense. I was never the type to make friends with random people on normie social media. This place is much more community centric. We all kinda know we have different perspectives than the norm and it brought a lot of people together. It seems like there’s an influx of maga type orange people which is kinda making me cringe. But I wouldn’t doubt some of that is people intentionally trying to bring this community down.

@makeheroism @Maiko_1820 this place kinda is what you make of it. As I’m sure you’ve noticed already. There are a ton of great people some of which happen to do some real cool shows. I lurked here for a bit. started seeing a lot of stuff kinda coming together in a lot of different ways. And @marykateultra and I had been doing some jingles for NA for a bit. And kinda pivoted more to contribute to other shows in the community.

@Maiko_1820 @marykateultra I think for most of my life I was surrounded by very risk averse people. And this community is the least risk averse group I’ve ever been a part of. They’re really fucking around and finding out. Which is real sick in my book.
