@itsecbot Add it to the reasons I keep a local folder on my desktop for my emails -- great to have. If online access poops out, I still have my complete archive. Also, I can always opt to use one of the other email services I have. But the huge issue I have with desktop Outlook is I don't like it synching. If someone ever hacks my gmail account (which is linked to the desktop Outlook) and deletes everything -- it will all disappear in Outlook.I've tried all sorts of things to stop the synching and now have a complicated system set up to make sure I have a constant backup of my emails.
