Hey UK friends, can you help a Canadian that's less familiar with troubleshooting her Speccy? It *was* working fine like 6 weeks ago, but now it doesn't seem to want to load any .tap audio.I've tried different volumes, different settings, different cables. The sound is definitely playing. Could the Ear port have developed an issue?I know I could get an SD loader, but loading it through audio was so charming! How would those familiar with the unit troubleshoot this?#zxspectrum

@SuperSelena64 Have you tried plugging in the aux cord halfway? This might sound crazy. But some older Jack ports aren’t aligned right with modern cords.

@twizzay I did try this a tiny a bit, wondering if it wasn't making the correct connection inside the port, but I can spend more time on that and see if I can find a sweet spot.

@SuperSelena64 Good luck! I had an old tape player that has that issue.

@twizzay @SuperSelena64 yes try that. :) also if there is any way to gently take apart the unit, you can look into the thing where it's connecting to, often times contacts can corrode, and you may need to gently chip away at some green stuff with a toothpick, for say half an hour very slowly in small circles and pokes.:) then very very gently sparingly thread some cotton through it with rubbing alcohol on it, and "floss" the contact.
