       I doubt Prigozhin achieves much, and he's just as horrible a person as Putin.But I do think it is good for humanity to see an example of corrupt elites initiating a war, failing badly at it, then turning on one another. Hopefully it makes other corrupt elites think twice.

       @maxkennerly In my opinion, this is just the initiator.  Prigozhin may not survive it, he's still operating in the wild.  But this can destabilize the regime environment, and it invites other players to start carving out their power bases.  This is 'open election', Russian style.

       @maxkennerly #Prigozhin has already achieved a great deal by signaling others in Russia's government that there is a real alternative. And that Russian territory is now directly involved in war. The too-timid now have a leader. Yes, Prigozhin and Putin are a great deal alike, but this means they can not occupy the same space, one has to go. Whoever wins, Putin or Prigozhin, Ukraine wins.
