@icedquinn the "i hate corporations but i actually know about tech" starter pack:- computer custom built specifically for linux- linux laptop- linux phone, or an android phone flashed with lineageOS/another custom rom- a pihole blocking 90% of the internet- their only game console: a wii or wii u that's been softmodded beyond recognition

@mjdxp my game console is a steam deck these days :blobmojidrool: i would like to get a devterm or a uconsole but this is more for a mix between weird nostalgic reasons and because as ARM devices they have enough battery life to live to a trip to the library or a power outage :blobcatpain:

@redeagle @mjdxp could be tbh. i was going to say they use real cameras--redacted's correspondent in Ukraine has actual camcorder units. but yeah a lot of people do just use iphones in cages now and sadly 'buy a used iphone and a cage' is pretty much the budget meta until you're willing to spend 500-700$ on a dedicated camcorder unit

@redeagle @mjdxp infowars in their poverty arc actually had an iphone in a cage on a selfie stick being held by the camera man while the anchor was holding a wired mic plugged in to it. i guess they had to sell the transmitter pack :blobcatlaugh:

@mjdxp @icedquinn linux (specifically Arch for some reason from what i've heard?) is a conerstone of the transfem pipeline and you cannot convince me otherwise(i have like 3 items on that list)
