       I should have done this earlier, but I'm finally just leaving Twitter. I have already been doing a soft quit of it, hoping that was enough, but it's time to do a hard quit.This was just the last straw: https://nypost.com/2023/06/22/j-k-rowling-claims-cis-is-ideological-language-after-elon-musk-bans-term-from-twitter/I hate the responsibility of moderating a social network (and I try to spread that among trusted friends here like @marcusolsson @apolaine @leah @eleanorkonik ) but it's preferable to having bigotry in my face all the time, which is just freaking exhausting.

       @nicole @marcusolsson @apolaine @leah @eleanorkonik I need to start seriously moving away from the other place too. What's done it for me is having my for you page dominated by tweets from right-wing accounts I do not follow.

       @nicole @marcusolsson @apolaine @leah @eleanorkonik Good, and good for you. 🖖🏼Twitter's steadily becoming the proverbial Nazi bar, I've left a few months ago in disgust, at the worst possible time — I had a rather solid reach there and was about to become self-employed again, and then had to decide to close that entire marketing channel. Wasn't fun.I hope that more companies would find the courage to look reality in the face: do we want to continue to be on this proto-fascism-supportive site?
